Menopause Changes

Menopause Changes-Menopause Isn’t the End of the World

Most women have a deep and abiding fear of menopause. They have heard it called “the change of life,” and they wonder if “change” is just a nice way of saying “the end.” It isn’t!

As a matter of fact, on the other side of menopause, you are very likely to find that life is better, freer, and more fun than it has ever been.

Of course, getting from the beginning of menopause to the end of menopause isn’t exactly what I’d call a “piece of cake.”

I have heard about women that just sail right through menopause without a problem. I’m not really sure they exist, but I have heard that.

The fact of the matter is that most women have a hard time getting through menopause.

Menopause changes present a difficult time in their lives, and it really isn’t any surprise that most women dread it. The good news is that there is help available.

The first and maybe the most important thing to realize about menopause is that just like when you went through puberty, you are going to survive.

There are a lot of the menopausal symptoms that are just plain physically uncomfortable.

Night sweats is a good example of a menopausal symptom that is nothing more than physically uncomfortable.

Hot flashes are another kind of miserably physical symptom of menopause. All of a sudden, it feels like you are on fire and then just as suddenly the feeling passes. Not fun…but surely not fatal, either.

It is just my opinion, of course, but I think the worst symptom of menopause is the mood swings that happen.

All of these symptoms are the result of our bodies ceasing the production of estrogen.

One answer is to replace the hormone. Replacing estrogen does relieve the symptoms of menopause, but HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) does not stop menopause.

The menopause changes will end and when that happens here is what we find:

1. 76% of post menopausal women said that their health was better.

2. 75% said that they were having more fun out of life.

3. 93% reported that they had more independence and more choices about work as well as leisure activities.

So you see, even with the menopause changes you have a better, healthier and happier life to look forward to after menopause.
